To commemorate this website’s first year in existence, I’m holding a contest to boost participation in the forums.
Starting on February 12th, and ending on March 1st, members can gain points by doing various things on the site. The three people who gain the most cubepoints by the March 1st deadline will receive the following prizes:
- First Place Winner – Final Fantasy III CIB
- Second Place Winner – A Link to the Past Cart Only
- Third Place Winner – SNES Player’s Guide
This is what you can do to earn points:
Forum Activities:
Making a new topic = 5 points
Posting on existing topics = 4 points
Creating a poll = 3 points
Voting in a poll = 1 point
General Activities:
Making a comment on a review or article page = 3 points
Registering between February 12th thru March 1st = 10 points
Writing something in the biographical info section plus uploading an avatar on the main profile page = 20 points
Submitting a suitable original review or article for the site = 25 points
Rules
1) The Administrator and Staff Writer’s points are automatically disqualified from contest competition.
2) Points will not be awarded to one, two, or three word posts such as ‘thank you’, ‘awesome!’, ‘I think so’ or smiley replies.
3) No trolling, racism, or harassing other members allowed.
With all that being said, I believe this site has the potential to be a special place. I hope as you’re exploring and participating on the site, you can see it too.

How can you tell how many points you have?
Go to the forum. You will be able to see how many points you have on the upper left hand side of the forum page. You can also see how many points you have when you make posts in the forum in your member info section.
Staff Writers can’t compete?! And my coworker won’t shut up about how much he loves Final Fantasy III.
Must say, with the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy this year, this is a fitting prize.

I changed a couple of things regarding points. Firstly, you can gain 20 points for jotting in some biographical info and uploading an avatar on the main profile page, which can be accessed by hovering your mouse over the “Howdy” phrase in the upper right hand corner of the screen and selecting edit my profile.
Secondly, I changed the number of points you can earn by submitting an original review or article from 12 points to 25 points.
