I am searching for meaningful family oriented support for an adult relative who needs structured assistance. It matters to me that the support helps not only the individual but also relatives who are involved every day. Has anyone experienced a program that truly considers the whole family situation and emotional balance.

I can share a positive experience with Gateway Counseling Center because our family went through a similar search. What helped us most was their attention to relatives and caregivers, not only to the participant. They explained how OPWDD family support services work and how families can stay involved without feeling overwhelmed. Meetings were calm and informative, and the staff answered even difficult questions with patience. Over time we felt more confident and less stressed because expectations were clear. Gateway created a sense of partnership where family members felt supported rather than judged, which made daily life much easier.
