I was fortunate enough to get an interview with the owner of great retro game shop in my hometown. Classic Game Junkie opened in 2010 and since then has many satisfied customers, myself included. Read the interview here and let’s discuss.

It’s cool to have an interest in video games and know a store like this next to where you live. I’d say you live in a pretty good spot, Masamune.

I haven’t been to Glenside before, but I know a place in downtown Pittsburgh called “The Exchange” that’s a lot like CGJ. They sell video games from all the previous generations (with a good amount of CDs, DVDs and videocassettes to go with). I’m anticipating when I have some spending money so I can buy a Playstation game or two, and maybe I should visit Classic Game Junkie one day while I’m at it.

I’ve been thinking about moving to Pittsburgh for career purposes. I don’t know if that will happen, but if I at least visit Pittsburgh I’ll try out The Exchange.

If you ever come to Philadelphia area, I’d recommend swinging by the Classic Game Junkie shop if only to just see the place. It looks amazing.

This interview was fun to read. I guess you are very lucky to have such store right next to where you live. I live about 5 minutes away from a huge flea market but their items are often way too expensive so I tend not to buy from this place when I can.
