I’ve been meaning to come on here and post this for a few weeks but honestly I’ve just been enjoying the feeling of not having this hanging over my head. My case took almost three years from start to finish, and there were so many moments where I thought I was going to lose my mind. I got hurt at work back in 2022, a bad fall that messed up my back and my hip, and I’ve been through two surgeries, countless physical therapy appointments, and more paperwork than I ever thought existed. The insurance company fought me on everything, denied my surgeries at first, sent me to doctors who said I was fine when I clearly wasn’t, and tried to cut off my benefits twice. I finally found an Ulster County workers comp attorney Rosendale based who took my case when I was at my lowest point and honestly I don’t know where I’d be without them. They handled all the hearings, all the back and forth with the adjusters, and ended up getting me a settlement that was way more than I ever would’ve gotten on my own. I guess I’m posting this because I remember scrolling through forums like this when I was in the thick of it, looking for any sign that things might get better. If you’re in that place right now, just hang in there. It’s exhausting and it’s unfair and it feels like it’s never going to end, but eventually it does. Get yourself someone who knows what they’re doing and let them handle the fight so you can focus on getting better. That’s the best advice I can give anyone going through this mess.
