Has anyone used one of these that let’s you play GameBoy Advance games big screen via the Gamecube. It’s like a tray that attaches to the base of the cube and comes with a start-up disc. I was wondering if the games looked and sounded ok on screen and if it plays other GameBoy games like the original or the color ones? Thanks folks.

OfflineYeah, I have the GB Player and the start-up disc. It’s actually pretty cool since you can play GB, GBC, and GBA games on it. There’s a lot of borders to pick from. The GB player is one of the few reasons why I still have a GC in the first place.

I wish I kept my Gamecube for this very reason!

…. at some of these responses. The GC is one of the best consoles I’ve ever owned and I would never get rid of it. Aside that it has the best version of Zelda: Twilight Princess (none of that horrible wafting the wiimote around) and the definitive Soul Calibur game it also has the excellent Zelda: Windwaker, an improved Zelda: Ocarina Of Time with Master Quest for true veterans and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door along with others such as Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2, Pikmin 1 & 2, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil series (with good controls)… there is a lot of games that I can appreciate on the GC, the last true Nintendo gaming console made just for games.
Oh yeah, that GC/GBA device sounds awesome, thanks for the replies – kinda makes the Super GB obsolete then if it plays GB, GBC and GBA!

OfflineI have mine still. Best reason to hang on to a GCN really.
The GBA is basically a portable SNES, so the Gameboy player is a great way to play games like FFVI Advance, Yoshi’s Island, etc. on your TV at a much lower price then the SNES cartridges.
GBA games have pretty crappy battery lives though.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

OfflineThe Gamecube is the only Nintendo console I’ve never owned, excluding Virtual Boy. I play GCN games on my Wii. Also, I must agree with the notion that the GCN version is the superior version of Twilight Princess.
Currently looking for the following SNES games:
Chrono Trigger
EarthBound
Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)
Secret of Mana
Illusion of Gaia
Super Castlevania IV
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
TMNT IV
Contra III
