OfflineLet’s say wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, parent, child whoever or for the need of money or whatever you had to get rid of all your gaming equipment except for one console what console would you keep?
And to take it a step further what would be the one game for that single console you would keep? Only one game.

OfflineA terrifying thought, but the one game / one system choice is simple for me. It’s Tecmo Super Bowl on NES, a game I play all the time on my laptop through an emulator.
Good work on getting several games out of one cart, Ghost. If I weren’t so addicted to TSB, I would probably take a Mega Man classic anniversary edition on a more recent system.

OfflineGhost you could get the Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World cart to add more value haha good choice though I thought about that one.
This was an evil question.
Tecmo Super bowl is an interesting choice, not a bad one you gotta stick to what you love.
I got a three way tie going but if you pressed me on it I would probably pick Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES

Hmm, if I had to give up all my systems but one, I would keep my Playstation 4. Out of all my systems it’s the most expensive to buy right now; I could conceivable buy back all the other systems I had at a later point.
I would probably keep Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition because I would get a lot of replay value out of it.
Very tough question indeed.

OfflineSadly, my choice is not a Super Nintendo game.
Though a case could certainly be made for games like SF2 Turbo (fantastic game to play against other people) Super CV4 or Mega Man X (both amazing single player games that I have beaten over and over and over), I have to go with…
Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES. It’s fun against the CPU. It’s fun against a friend. There are almost countless ways to play it, thanks to all the different teams, and the different combinations of players on those teams that make up strengths and weaknesses (as long you discount the goddamn 49ers, but that’s a given). I’ve played probably hundreds of hours of TSB, and I haven’t come close to getting tired of it.
A close second would actually be another non-SNES game: Dark Souls. Similar reasons: it’s a great game alone or with friends. It’s actually a LOT better single player than TSB, but not quite as good PvP as TSB. I could honestly have Dark Souls or TSB and it really wouldn’t matter. I’ve never gotten tired of Dark Souls after hundreds of hours, either.

Ah but I don’t have cart that in my collection so therefore I couldn’t keep it as my one. I have a separate SMW cart which I was tempted by. Also Super Mario Kart would be up there.
If there was a Shining Force game compendium, similar to that MegaMan Anniversary collection available in the US, then I would prob of gone with that and whatever format it was on. Someone needs to make a Shining collection!

There is a couple Shining games on Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis/Megadrive Collection for the PS3/360
If I had to choose I’d probably go with SNES and Top Gear or something like Donkey Kong Country.. but this is way too hard haha! PS1 and Final Fantasy Tactics would be a good pick for me too. If PC could count as a ”console” then I would go with PC and a Counter-Strike game for sure though. I think this is the series I’ve played the most in the last decade (thousands of hours!).

OfflineMy choice would be Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection for the PS3. This wasn’t actually that hard a choice for me. If this was all I had, at least I’d still have 49 classic SEGA games; plenty to keep me busy.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown
