Does anyone know of any console games, of any region, where you can actively play as the British Redcoats? Or play as some form of the British/English army in pre-World War times? The only one I know is Koei’s strategy-sim, Liberty Or Death for the SNES.
Any suggestions most welcome.

I believe you can play as a redcoat in the multiplayer component of Assassin’s Creed 3. The main campaign is mainly about assassinating redcoats however.

There aren’t many games based on the Revolutionary war, which is a shame. I know Battle Grounds 2 for the PC has a mod based on the American Revolutionary war:

Sure looks interesting. I don’t think these games got a PS3/360 PAL release as far as I know. Think we just got the History Channel: Medieval Battles game. I’ll look into it as I might get a PS3 at some point.

They are?! That’s awesome, I did not know that and tbqh wouldn’t of even thought that. I was gonna get a cheap one eventually to play SSFIV, DuckTales Remastered, Bayonetta, Dragons Crown and a few others.
