Can you describe the problems you are having posting pics? Tom said the same thing. I’m trying to figure out if it’s something on my end that’s the problem.
Do you see the upload attachments button right below the box you write your posts in?

I tried to upload the pics as attachments, but it wouldn’t let me since they are too big.

off-topic: Yeah, those forums feel like a virtual battlefield sometimes. The community isn’t too bad though and the market section there is also pretty good.

OfflineThat’s some nice stuff you guy’s have. I’ll get some pics loaded up soon.
Mark you have a nice collection already for someone so young, what got you into retro gaming may I ask? Do you play a lot of the modern stuff too?
Why is that poor N64 game on it’s own Masamune, are you just recently starting to collect for it? Mischief Makers is pretty decent btw.

OfflineOh yeah I must of just skimmed that pic and thought it was the MM cart alongside it’s box.
I felt I had to get rid of the N64 as it wasn’t getting much use if I’m honest. I appreciate the good times I had but those are a memory and id like to keep it that way. When I did go on it in the past several years before I sold it those times were not so good. I don’t think its because the games look bad or blocky. I suppose in general over that period of time since the Gamecube days I’m not wowed or really inspired by 3D gaming anymore, It stopped being fun so it went with the Wii. Hey at least I had some happy years with the 64.
I notice you have ActRaiser 2. I want that game, the graphics look amazing. How does the platforming side of it compare in your view? Is it tough as nails?![]()

The last time I played this game was in the late 90’s. I never played Actraiser, so I never compared the second to the first. I remember the graphics being very good and the music was amazing. Yes, the game is tough as nails to the point of frustration. I was never able to beat it. There even an extra special mode for those that want even more challenge. ![]()

OfflineEcco the Dolphin is really difficult… At least the initial megadrive game. i havent played any others.
I did however buy Lunar 1 and 2 for the Sega CD recently. a nice round €144 inkl shipping from the netherlands, ugh.. Of course the cases broke in transit due to tight packing, but the seller stood by his sale and has shipped replacement cases for the games. Hopefully they dont look too bad, and will arrive safely. These games are expensive! Will be interesting to play them soon, see how they compare to snes jrpg’s. The only other sega jrpg’s ive played extensively is Beggar’s Prince, im a fair bit into the game now but stuck. Ive begun Pier Solar but lost interest and went back to Skyrim. Ill continue Pier Solar one of these days. I also have Star Odyssey and Legend of Wukong. Ill eventually get around to the Phantasy Star games hopefully. But for now, the Super Fighter Team’s games and Lunar 1 & 2 will be my Sega JRPG collection.
Oh, and sometime this year, Nightmare Busters will arrive from SFT as well.

OfflineI admire your support for Super Fighter Team. I always wanted to play Beggar Prince but it had ceased production by the time I knew of it. I heard that earlier versions are buggy so I didn’t risk forking out for a copy only to find it’s the early one. Nightmare Buster’s is an interesting one – it sure looks fun if a little difficult in terms of cheap hits.
I never owned a Sega CD, in fact the only game I have ever played is Sonic CD which I really enjoyed. The Lunar series I know is highly acclaimed so it’s no surprise the price you have to play for them. Have you ever played Double Switch, it has the actor Cory Haim [RIP] in it who plays some insane owner of a hotel mansion or something.

OfflineNo, only Sega CD titles ive played, or tested if they work (as i havent actually played the Lunar games yet) are Bram Stokers Dracula, Microcosm, Pitfall and the Lunar titles.
I found my copy of Beggar’s Prince on a swedish auction site of all places. It was one of the two first runs, with the first artwork, and yes the one with supposed bugs. I havent ran across bugs myself, or at least not what ive found to be a bug, just some odd graphical glitch in some menues, but yes the third run is supposedly the prefered one and it also has a very different artwork. I kinda like them both. Legend of Wukong i missed by a matter of days, as i couldnt afford it, i kept looking, and within 2-3 days of me being able to afford it it was sold out! Since he made a note a new run is being considered, i put myself on the Wukong mailing list. Some time passed, and i got a personal email, saying he had found two loose carts, and printed out manuals and inlays for them, so he now had 2 more copies for sale. He asked if i wanted to buy one or both since i was the first to sign up to the Wukong mailing list. I settled for one, since i only actually need one, and would prefer if some other guy/girl had the same opportunity i had.. So i finally got Wukong as well. Ive only tested it to see if it worked though. Star Odyssey i purchased before it sold out, which was fairly quick. Havent played it yet either. Basically, i want to support homebrew, or new localized versions of old asian games that never made it here. And thats what SFT does well.
Wukong hardly ever comes up for sale on ebay etc, but i did see one sell in summer of 2011 i believe, on ebay.de for nearly €70, so not too bad. Any version of Beggar’s Prince are stupid expensive though.. I paid about $100 for mine through a swedish auction site, Tradera, (owned by ebay, but not ebay.se) including shipping (usualy see $200+ on ebay), it was marked Buy it now so i jumped on it. My collection isnt very large by collector’s standards, but i do have a few gems for several of my systems. I only buy games im interested in playing though, so i wont pay premium for a game im not interested in, only because its rare. Like i wont buy Dino Tycoon for 3DO for the prices it commands, because im not that interested in it. I was lucky in terms of Lucienne’s Quest though.. paid no more than $150 (i dont recall exactly) for a mint sealed copy years ago. People want like 4-5 times that today, and recently a VGA-nutjob tried $2500 for a copy in one of those stupid plastic cases.
