Hey everyone,

I’ve been exploring how game ideas evolve from early concepts to actual playable mechanics. It’s interesting to see how much things shift once testing begins. While reading different discussions and studying examples from teams who use Game Design Services, I noticed that even well-planned ideas can change once real players interact with them.

I’m curious about the process behind it.
What usually causes game mechanics to change during development?
Is it player feedback, balancing, pacing adjustments, or simply discovering a better direction while building?

Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who has tried designing games, mods, or even small prototypes.
