OfflineI started a second one, specifically. My first time with Steam, I eliminated my account because I didn’t know if it was much use to me. I had some hesitant reasoning for it which I’ve since forgotten. Now I see they’ve made available a lot of games I’d love to experience.
How about anyone else? Do you use Steam?

OfflineYes, I use steam. I have spent way too many hours playing Counter-Strike: Source during the past decade.
I mostly buy games when Steam holds big sales (Christmas holidays, Summer sales, etc.). A lot of games cost less than five dollars then… But then again I tend to keep my video game money for SNES games most of the time.
I normally play CS:S and Age of Empires II HD, if you ever want to play either games.
My advice: get Shovel Knight if you didn’t get it on the Wii U already.

OfflineI love my Steam account, but unfortunately I only own a laptop, so that isn’t conducive to a good PC gaming experience. I have all three BioShock games and both Portal games on it, so it’s small but excellent. I’m planning on expanding my collection once I’m out of college and have the time/money.
Currently looking for the following SNES games:
Chrono Trigger
EarthBound
Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)
Secret of Mana
Illusion of Gaia
Super Castlevania IV
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
TMNT IV
Contra III

It isn’t? I never thought about that.
But anyways, you both have a keen eye for Steam releases, with “Portal” and “Counter-Strike”. I have more of a wishlist than a library, and I’ll also say I’m using my account both to catch up on PC greats (“Portal”, “Half-Life 2”, “Cave Story” (I know about the free download, but I find buying the “+” version easier)) and to do some ersatz console gaming (“NiGHTS Into Dreams”, “Ikaruga”, “Final Fantasy VII”).
What say you about that?

OfflineYeah John, I hadn’t thought of it either. My laptop is a very basic model and doesn’t have a ton of power. I did manage to beat the first Portal game on it, but I might just wait a year or so until I can invest in a desktop PC.

OfflineNo steam account, since most of those games are DRM. I tend not to pay for games that I can never own no matter HOW cheap they are. I also have noticed a tendency to not play these cheap games, thus I am buying games I dont play like the stupid hardcore gamers do.
GoG does get a good deal of business from me, though. No DRM and cheap prices on some of the best PC games of all time. The game industry can keep their mediocre junk. Too much quality in the past I do not even now exists lol!
When I buy a PS4 ten years from now, the quality games will still be quality, and the mediocre shit will be forgotten. This is why I advise folks to let a system sit for a decade.
Exploring the New World on Nintendo Switch. Currently Playing: Zelda BOTW, Octopath Traveler, Sonic Mania, Yoku's Island Express, Mega Man 11. Currently Watching: Marble Hornets, Luther, Black Mirror, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5. Currently Reading: Influence by Robert Cialdini.

OfflineGood Old Games is neat, and I admit it does work as an alternative. If you’re concerned with obtrusive DRM and excess shopping for games, it’s a safer option than Steam. I use Steam because I heard of it first, and it had “NiGHTS” and Valve’s library and enough other games to hook me.
Don’t know what to say about the PS4.
