The Mario Kart games are some of the highest quality, most accessible racers of all time.  Each entry has excellent production values and is highly playable.  That said, the series is pretty noteworthy, as there is no clear consensus amongst fans as to what the best and worst games are.

What are your favourite and least favourite entries in the series?

Mine are:

Favourite: Mario Kart DS.  This game did 3D Mario Kart right, without feeling overly gimmicky.  Add in the fact that it contained tracks from all previous games and featured a fun online mode and you’ve got the total package.  Still holds up very well to this day.

Least Favourite:  Mario Kart: Double Dash!  A fun game to be sure, though the “two racers per kart” feature felt overly gimmicky and didn’t add much to the gameplay.  The gameplay and track design was still solid, though the presentation was a bit too childish for my tastes.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

My favorite is Mario Kart Wii. Just had so much content in it compared to the other Mario Karts. I also like the DS one.

My least favorite is Super Circuit. Unless each of your friends had a separate copy of the game, the multiplayer is severely dumbed down. It really hurts the game considering that the highlight of the series is about the multiplayer.

I have already said my preferences and why in the Super MK Top Scores topic but here’s a reminder. Baring in mind I’ve never played a hand-held version, my scale is this: Super MK > MK Wii > MK Double Dash > MK 64

Id have to say my favorite would be Double Dash because it had so many Mario characters and although they were a bit childish I liked the maps and the music although the Wii one is really good too. My least favorite was the N64 ones for to many reasons to list.

Each entry in the series is so good, it’s impossible for me to list a favorite or least favorite. I enjoyed each (console versions) in their own right and couldn’t imagine trying to place them on a list from best to worst.

Though they are all similar, there are some notable difference between them and made them each fun and special to me. Which reminds me, When’s the next one coming out??? wink

We’ll find out at E3, but I’m guessing Mario Kart Wii-U will be out this Christmas.

I joined a long forum discussion about volatility in Aussie pokies, and someone casually dropped https://pokiesbonusfinder.com while debating bonus features. I tried a pokie with cascading reels they mentioned, and one lucky chain of hits suddenly pushed my balance way higher than I expected after a week of mediocre sessions in Australia.
