There is a starfox competition cartridge listed on ebay right now, for 350$, the cart however is said to be NON-WORKING. I messaged the person and asked if they’d take 100$. The description also says they have tried cleaning it but cant get anything but a black screen.
Would you buy the card cheaper? And gamble that you could clean the contacts better, or replace the battery and get it working?
Or is this too sketchy?

I wouldn’t spend more than $15 on a Star Fox competition cartridge. It’s essentially a timed version of Star Fox and you can easily nab the original Star Fox game for that price. I’m not a fan of collecting games that are neat to have, I only like to own games that I will regularly play and enjoy. That’s just me though.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Supposing that it is legit, One could fix it up and then turn around and sell it for a sizable profit, but not for 350 dollars, and not for me.
There are too many rare games that are good if I am going to drop that kind of money.
