Up for discussion: Vegas Stakes, Side Pocket, and Arcana.
Arcana is good, but does it really warrant inclusion?
Does Vegas Stakes do enough right to include it?
Is Side Pocket well done? Or should you just stick o your real life pool table?

Arcana’s probably worth putting on the list simply because it is the best first person RPG on the system. I’d argue that Lufia 1 and Breath of Fire 1 are both better overall games, but at least Arcana brings something new to the table. Also; Kirby cameo.
Vegas Stakes is fun and I enjoy how the whole game is framed as an adventure with an end goal. That said, its essentially a simulator of casino games and there’s many, many other options to play these games in 2013. It is dirt cheap though, so I’d recommend every SNES owner pick it up. I say put it on the list.
If nothing else, Arcana and Vegas Stakes show how far Hal has come as a developer.
Haven’t played Side Pocket.
As an aside, I doubt anyone keeps stats on this, but I’d be willing to bet (pun intended) that Vegas Stake is the easiest SNES game to find complete in box. There is just a ton of copies floating around out there. Heck, a local retro store in my area is selling sealed, new copies for $10.
I wonder what the story is there. Did Nintendo think all North Americans were degenerate gamblers that couldn’t wait to get our gambling fix at home? I’m curious why they thought it would be such a hot seller.

I see you have added Tactic Ogre to the list. Have you played this title on the Super Nintendo? If so, was it the Japanese original or a reproduction copy? I’m trying to convince myself that this game is worth buying from Timewalk even if it will most likely greatly hurt my wallet. Have you played Final Fantasy Tactics on ps1? I absolutely loved it and I’m trying to get a similar experience on the Super Nintendo.

No game is worth seriously hurting your wallet over.
If the game is too expensive for you, put a little money aside while you can and wait until you’ve saved enough to purchase it without straining your budget.
In the meantime, replay Final Fantasy Tactics! What a game that was.
I should also mention that Tactics Ogre was ported a few times (to the PS1, GBA, maybe some others) so you may be able to find one of those versions cheaper.

Awesome idea with the list, awesomer job hitting the most important sports games. I didn’t see a golf game on there, but then again, I haven’t exactly come across a golfing game on SNES I couldn’t put down.
I’d suggest a Madden game, but honestly, they kind of all blend together! Tecmo Super Bowl III is better than the half dozen Madden games for the system anyway, though I do love me some early Maddens.
Sports aside, I’d think about arguing for Out of this World, but is it a top 150 game? Likely not.

If you’re looking for a good tactical rpg fire emblem is a good reproduction to get but I’d give this one to Sega Shining Force 2 is the best stratagy rpg.
ha! I had that game on a sega genesis collection disc for the xbox 360.. which I sold. Had I known it was a great tactical RPG, I would have surely tried it!

Shining Force games are awesome, truly satisfying to play through. Anyhow, I’m glad to see Mega Man 7 added to the list, it’s my favorite of the entire MM series, including X. Just noticed someone put Night of the Sickle Weasels aka Kamaitachi no Yoru – that’s pretty cool, I quite like the horror/sound novel genre.
I would like to add the following for consideration, feel free to criticize or inquire:
Castlevania: Vampires Kiss / Dracula XX
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness
Nosferatu
Turtles: Tournament Fighter
Arabian Nights
Cho Aniki – Bakretsu Ranto Hen
Crystal Beans: From Dungeon Explorer
GS Mikami: Joreishi wa Nice Body
Gokujou Parodius
Melfand Stories
Psycho Dream

Sorry for the lack of presence, guys and gals! Been extremely busy putting together a new business venture! But now that’s all done and I am back baby! Expect more articles and contributions starting next week!
As for the list;
@ Masamune: Prehistorik Man makes it no problem! That one is amazing!
@Jr.: Now that you mention Golf, Kirby’s Dream course is incredible! If I forgot to add it then It’s ON THE LIST!! As for Out Of This World, personally Flashback (also by Delphine) and Blackthorne (by Blizzard) just do the same gameplay so much better! That said, am I wrong? Let me know if I am guys!
@Ghostsweeper: I was WONDERING when you would come and blow my mind with games even I have never played lol! Lets take a look, and we can go back and forth…..
-Dracula X: NO! Awkward, Tedious, and limiting, it is overshadowed by SC4 in every regard. BUT AM I RIGHT?!? Let’s discuss everyone!
-Nobunaga’s Ambition: I have never played it,but have heard good things. How does it stack up against ROTTK 4?
-Nosferatu:I found this game frustrating; A shame since the atmosphere is so damn good…
-Turtles:TF: IT’S ON THE LIST!!!
-Arabian Nights: I need to play this one ASAP! I hear it is GREAT! If it is tell me why and on your recommendation it will be ON THE LIST!
-Cho Aniki: despite the fact that it may not be for everyone, this is an extremely solid fighter. It’s ON THE LIST.
-Psycho dram is on the list, cheesy soundtrack be damned! The game is just too much fun NOT to include!
-Crystal Beans is On The List, and thanks again for pointing me toward it awhile ago!
-How the Hell did I forget Ghost Sweeper Mikami?!? Fantastic licensed game that si ON THE LIST.
-Both the Parodius Sequels are ON THE LIST. I always forget about them for some reason…
-Never played Melfand Stories. How does it stack up to other beatemups?
-Oh and Sicke Weasel is great for a storybook game! lots of detective work in that one! Kills cal Dreamers…

Welcome back Mong and best of luck with your new business venture! Sounds very exciting.
I’d like to suggest adding Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension to the list. It’s a very fun DBZ fighter, with a good mix of characters throughout the various sagas.
Also, if we’re only going to have one Top Gear game on the list, my vote goes to Top Gear II.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Glad I have about 5 or 6 of those already on the list, from what I’ve heard scrounging through the interwebs, this is a great compilation list, or shopping list
How’s Top Gear 3000? I want to get Top Gear 2 if only for that great title music…
Also, has anybody played Dragon’s Lair for SNES? I’ve heard it’s a pretty awful game, but I got to give it a chance, it’s by Don Bluth, one of my favorite filmmakers.
I hope to acquire Aladdin, Star Fox and DK Country 3 by Christmas.
Are any of these other Disney games good? Besides the Mickey Mouse Quest that was mentioned?

Hey, Guys! Back to give this List some love!
Goof Troop Is On The List! While I like Top Gear 3000, The first two Top Gears are overall better games. But we have all three DKC’s on the list, so what do you guys think? Should we be a little more inclusive for some games despite the samey-ness?

I guess it will depend everytime. I’ve never really played Top Gear 3000 despite being a fan of both first entries in the series. But all three DKC are awesome games! Perhaps we should label them as ”Donkey Kong Country series” but I don’t know.
On another note, do we already have a list of great SFC games that didn’t make it to the West? I’d love to see one of those. The list could include Japanese language only titles and fan translated titles. It would surely help me to choose which SFC games I want to turn to if I had a list of them instead of ”randomly” testing japanese titles.
