Ive been curious about this for a while now. Anyone here got one? If so, please tell me how its response is. Does the buttons feel nice? Is the d-pad any good etc?

Also, anyone know if this one is region specific? It has the shape of the Pal/SFC, so it makes me think its the snes system which would be the deciding factor?

Nevermind about the adapter, i just found out its an emulator on a chip just using the snes’s poweradaptor etc.. Compatibility seems an issue too.

No, I’ve never tried the controller before. Looking at the enlarged picture though, the X,Y,B,A buttons look cheap and fragile. If you do decide to buy it, could make for a good review.

Ill probably take a gamble.. found a good price incl shipping on amazon.. if that seller still has stock on monday ill buy a couple, and throw together a review.. I dont have many games other than rpg’s though, so im not sure how thourough it would be. Feels like id need a proper fighter to test the d-pad. All i have are Tuff E Nuff and the Ranma 1/2 with “SF2”-controls, which dont have the proper tight controls for testing.. If anyone has a loose SF2 cartridge they dont mind lending or parting with, for the sake of a review, let me know.

Yup, i only have NTSC systems unless they are PS2 and PS3. For the snes, i have two US versions, and two SFC, where one has been severly modified to output 50hz (yet will not play Pal games).. Import machine to the UK if the previous owner remembered correctly. He had no idea it was 50hz though, so i had to buy another directly from japan to make sure i got a 60hz one.. I think i have one Pal game for my snes.. And it wont play properly on my modded us snes, which probably has to do with my TV.. It doesnt like my Pal Jaguar if i use an RGB cable, composite works just fine. So it must be some sync signal from 50hz it doesnt like in some systems.

So putting it nice and short, yes, i have the ability to play NA snes games 😉

Controllers have been purchased and shipped, should get here within two weeks, and thanks to Masamune sponsoring me with a game we all know have tight controls, and demands alot of your d-pad, you can look forward to a fairly detailed review within the next month or so.

The controllers arrived today which was pretty quick from the US.

Well the initial good news is i feel they are sturdily built, the buttons do not feel cheap etc, but the bad news is they are pretty similar to size compared to the original controller, that is, pretty small for anyone with above average hand size.. Other initial bad news is one of the recievers didnt work out of the box. Just informed the seller and hopefully they will be quick about resolving that for me.

Anyway, ill be testing them for an upcoming review during July.

Shipping Street Fight II Turbo tomorrow. Could you do a review for the game as well? There’s no rush. If you can do a review of both the controller and the game, you can keep the game. Thanks.

Masamune, the game arrived today and i popped it in. I dont think the controllers are lagging after all, they seem pretty responsive with the punches and kicks in the game. The d-pad might be less sensitive than id like, but ive yet to compare with the original controller. Reviews of the controller and game will be upcoming but might be a few weeks off.

Also got my reciever replaced by the shop promptly without any questions asked, so im all set with two working controllers and recievers now.
