This month marks the 8th year that SNES Hub started. I created this website after I found a mint condition Sega Genesis system, box, papers and all in someone’s trash while jogging. It got my nostalgia juices pumping and I took it home and looked online to see if anyone was still playing these old games.
I found a treasure trove of a fan-site called Sega-16 which covered the Genesis extensively with reviews, articles and a very lively forum. I looked for a Super NES counterpart and found none. I thought to myself “SNES gamers deserve a fan-site like Sega-16.” “Let me create one.”
And that’s what I did. On February 11th, 2012, SNES Hub was born. Along the way, people like Mongunzoo, JohnLegendoffZelda, Jrsupermoore, Marktheshark Indy1988, S
Every once in awhile we had some fun discussions going on too.Ultimately, SNES Hub never lived up to what I hoped it could be; a central piece to the retrogamer community. Forum activity became sparse, my interest started to wane, and this place became a complete ghost town. With forums going the way of the dodo bird, and social media taking center stage, I don’t think this forum will ever be bustling with activity.
Nevertheless, my goal of having at least one review for every North American released game remains intact. If we can get some Japanese and European exclusives in the review pipeline, that just icing on the cake.
SNES Hub is still here after 8 years. Many fan-sites can’t even say that. Thank you to everyone who ever submitted a review, an article, or created a post.
Let’s hear it for another 8 years!

This site never gained the traction and reputation that your efforts and enthusiasm deserved. I always enjoyed the tight-knit community we had.Loyalty is one of my strengths and weaknesses. You’ll have to ban me to get rid of me now. Lol
Thanks for the sentiment Ghostsweeper. I did put a lot of effort and some money into this site the first few years. It just didn’t pan out. If this board could have just 10 active forum members, that could spark several interesting discussions. Oh well, thanks for visiting every once in awhile. I believe you are the last of the original group to do so.

Happy 8th to this forum!
I just made my account today. Looks like I am a few years late, but I am still glad I found this site. I am also active in the SNES reddit forum, but I figured it would be cool to have 2 places to discuss my favorite console of all time!
I look forward to chatting with you all.

Strange times indeed.
I’m doing ok, I hope you are too. If you have PS4, maybe we can chat or do some gaming together.
Take care.
No PS4 bud. In fact I’m down to a PSone as my sole Sony product I have left. I’m actually back at work, in some capacity anyway. Started back last week and hoping everything keeps going well. I have to admit, I was getting used to the furlough pay whilst I was off but maaaaan were those days just feeling like an endless rerun of the last, kinda like grounding day!

Yo, dude. Nice to see a new member wanting to chat. What’s some of your favourite games or series? For any system too.

This site was always a lot of fun. Over the years I have been meaning to try and get back to doing a review or two, but life always finds a way. Then the Switch happened, and now there does not seem to be much of a chance to play anything else. But man oh man are there still some gems I want to give the Review treatment to. Treasure of the Rudras, Super Turrican 2, ect.
Every now and then I still like to pop in when time allows. I am glad to see so many of us do the same.
SNES Strong!

Yeah, Like is good, or as good as it can be in 2020 lol. Aside from my Switch Physical addiction. This system is way too expensive. Outside of that, just reading and planning some travel itineraries once this Virus Fucks off or we get a treatment, and everything opens up again.
How about you?
