OfflineOf all the Mario RPGs out there, which one is your favourite?
To me, Super Mario RPG is still the best. Â It “feels” like an RPG much more then any of its sequels. Â Though the Paper Mario / Mario & Luigi games do feel like they’re more in the Mario universe then Super Mario RPG. Â Still, there is something about Mario RPG that really grabs me
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

OfflineI’m playing through Super Mario RPG for the first time on my Wii Virtual Console. Â So far, I love it. Â The Mario RPG game that comes closest to it, for me, is Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. Â I think it is one of the GBA’s best titles.
Currently looking for the following SNES games:
Chrono Trigger
EarthBound
Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)
Secret of Mana
Illusion of Gaia
Super Castlevania IV
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
 Zombies Ate My Neighbors
TMNT IV
Contra III

OfflineYeah I still have Paper Mario:The Thoasand Year Door & Mario Smash football for the GC, you’re right they are awesome. Smash Football is like Fifa Street but with all the Nintendo goodness thrown in. PM:1000YD is the only Paper Mario game I’ve sampled but it was epic and kept me hooked to the Gamecube for many good weeks. Quality title in a nutshell.

OfflineTTYD was great the first time through, though I haven’t been compelled to go back to it since. Â Did you enjoy the first Paper Mario? Â It is pretty similar to TTYD.
I wouldn’t say it’s better then Super Mario RPG, though TTYD’s world “feels” more like a Mario world then Mario RPG’s does.

OfflineI liked paper Mario, so Yeah i will give this one a shot.
It sure wasn’t Mario RPG, though!
Skies of Arcadia was the last great JRPG I ever played until XenoBlade and Persona 4. Though I am hearing great things about some PS3 game that just came out…

OfflineCan you play that on a PS3 or Wii? Aside from SNES, NES, and Genesis those are the only systems I have.Â

OfflineDisgaea 3 and 4 are on PS3. Â Never played them, but my brother seemed to enjoy 3. Â I think that Disgaea 1 and 2 (on the PS2) are supposed to be the best.
Are you referring to Ni No Kuni as the new PS3 RPG? Â It looks incredible! Â I’ll probably check it out later this year (it seems to have sold well, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find after the inevitable price drop).
I’d recommend picking up Valkyria Chronicles if you haven’t tried it yet. Â It’s my favourite PS3 game (outside of Super Street Fighter IV) and is an incredible update on the strategy RPG formula. Â It’s basically a turn based strategy RPG, except you move your units in a third-person shooter style while enemies fire at you in real time. Â Best of all Vyse and Aika from Skies of Arcadia are recruitable squad members! Â Fina makes a guest appearance too as your squad’s medic.

OfflineValkyria Chronicles also has a deep story that deals with themes such as racism, war, etc.
The squad members you can pick all have great personalities and some of them are pretty unique (such as openly gay characters, racist characters, loners, cowards, etc. Â I think I need to replay it!

OfflineThat’s the one! It has artwork from Studio Ghibli, so that’s a plus! Could it be that I may buy a NEW game this year : )
Valkyria Chronicles sounds exceptional. Will look into it. SF was great BTW! Aside from some bloat (what modern fighters DONT have this?) it is an improvement on SF in every way. Thank you!
