1200 copies made. 600 initially when i pre-ordered mine over 1,5 years ago, but the demand was so high he decided to take pre-orders on another 600. Im curious to see what the cartridge design will look like. His megadrive releases have kept a us/europe design, whilst having the japanese notch in it, to be able to fit in any megadrive/genesis.

The snes having a bit more radical differences jap/europe vs US, it will be interesting to see what he chose to do about that. I guess ill see in 1-2 weeks.

I forgot about this. It’s nice people are supporting these retro efforts. It will encourage more folks to do similar things. Take some pics when you get it.

Yes id like to see it as well. I’ve only ever played Nightmare Busters via emulation but it was a fun action platformer if I recall.

Today the game arrived. It sadly has a crease on the manual and a small indentation in the box itself, but i can live with it. I love the cartridge design, but he shouldve gone with an end label as well for those who stack their cartridges that way.

Everything is made to a high standard per usual from Super Fighter Team, and i love the twist he’s done on the US snes box details. Here are the pictures that were asked for. I did not use flash on the game itself as it caused too much glare, but i did with the pics of it inserted in the three SNES variations so you guys can see what it looks like in all of them.

I have not copyright’ed anything so feel free to use and re-post anywhere, as with any of my pics on this site.

Played through the first level, well as far as i got in it, and its a hard game. Maybe im just unused to run and gun type gaming, even though i play metal slug on the neo fairly regularly, but it is quite hard even on easy. Games were much harder back in the day, and even with plenty of credits i didnt make it through the first level. It has good controls and nice colourful graphics with pretty good detail. Its a good game, just hard for me. Also, i like to take things slow and methodically, and you dont have time for that in this game. If you stand still the enemies just keep spawning anyway.

Once ive played more and at least make it to a few more levels, ill cook up a review for you.

I heard the game was hard, but not being able to get past the first level sounds pretty hardcore to me. But a lot of games even back in the day would at least ease you into the game on the first level. Good luck!smile

The review will be much appreciated too.

I kinda suck at these kinds of games though, and first try always ends up bad.

On a different note, Brandon at SFT was more than happy to replace the box and manual for free. So it will look minty fresh once those arrive.
