OoT’s gameplay is timeless, but the graphics have aged much worse than LttP. If you have access to the Gamecube versions or the Wii Virtual Console versions, than it will look a little better from the higher resolution.
Let us know what your thoughts are when you get around to it.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Super Metroid!
I’m experiencing my first legitimate encounter with the universe of Samus Aran. I did borrow the NES version back in the day from a friend, but I found it too difficult to make sense of, and gave up quickly. Also the color palette of Metroid was too bland for me to get into. Nothing like the colorful worlds of Mega Man.
This game is everything it was built up to be and more. I find the difficulty perfect and the itemization invigorating.

Been looking into the Satellaview and its games. Sadly, for some reasons a lot of the BS-X games wont run on my Super Everdrive.. but some will boot up just fine.
Been playing a lot of BS Shockman (BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero). It’s such a short and sweet game! You can beat it in under 1 hour and possibly on your first or second attempt! It’s got an incredible soundtrack (which is always a plus!) and the gameplay is super tight.
It’s an action platformer and plays similar to Mega Man except you got to punch your way through the enemies. You also have a long-ranged charge attack similar to a hadoken/kamehameha.
I will review it for the site if I find time for it in the future! 😀

A few weeks back I completed Mega Man 4 for the first time. Felt like such an achievement even though it wasn’t ridiculously hard, I just enjoyed playing it through and having fun. Love the soundtrack too, not one bad theme in the game apart from that password screen one.
Great to hear! It was a couple months ago when I gave MM4 a legitimate shot for the first time. I got through a few levels of Cassock before losing wind. I really liked it though. Beating some of those robot bosses was super satisfying. I can understand why some believe it to be the best Mega classic in existence, though for me it will always be Mega Man 2 (second favorite video game of all time) with Mega Man 3 a respectable ways behind it.
I’ve been playing a lot of Tecmo Super Bowl (NES) on emulator, as always. Also been hitting up Mike Tyson’s Punch-out and Turtles II, both on NES.
I plan to review the last two, along with Kirby’s Adventure, Bubble Bobble and Jackal to round off my Top Ten list on my NES blog.

Hi folks, Merry Christmas!
Where is everyone on here?
I enjoy MM2 as well, probably my 3rd fave behind MM4 & MM7. Yeah man, Bubble Bobble is a classic!
Played through and completed Sonic 1 & Zelda:LttP last week, think I’ll go through Links Awakening when I get some free time, been some years since I played it.

Started playing some Super Famicom again. My main course is Dragon Quest V which, hopefully, I will complete this time.
Others on queue: DoReMi Fantasy, Psycho Dream, Majuu Ou
I’m also just playing the entire 4th generation in general so I’ve been knocking through some MegaDrive and PC Engine stuff (shorter games, no rpgs). Really surprised by how good the PC Engine library is; very underrated console.
