Ive been looking for one for a little while, and cant seem to find one from a seller willing to ship internationally. There is one on ebay right now for $14, which id be willing to pay for one in good condition, but he is not responding.

Any of you guys in america, who has one they’d be willing to part with for a reasonable price + shipping? I know we dont have a trade forum here, but as ive heard no discouraging from making threads about it i thought id give it a shot.

I have a hard time finding these on online retroshop, as they are very unlikely to seperate the slight redesigned SNS-102 controller from the original. Im after one to complete my Snes SNS-101 console i got recently..

Let me know if you can help, or keep a look out as you shop through thriftstores, retro stores etc in your area. Im willing to pay around $15-20 for one in great condition, plus shipping to me in sweden.

Regards,

grimm

Sorry G, I’ve not come across one of those before. If I stumble across it on any browsing I’ll let you know. Id definitely be interested in a trading forum section though it would appear that as of now there aren’t too many folks to deal with. I have some stuff that might be of use to someone on here but I’d like to know peoples thoughts on a potential trade thread.

I think once this site comes more active and there is a sense of community here, a trading thread or even a forum section on to itself can be established. I might be able to implement some kind of rating system to add feedback on transactions.

A rating feedback would be great, also steal the idea of a feedback subforum where you can put down comments or details of a trade. As for now, we arnt too many active users here, but i think a trade forum could be a draw for more members.. The more bait you throw out, the bigger chance someone will bite. So people will look on forums they normally dont frequent, just to sell stuff, and usually have some kind of feedback reference from other places to back it up. I dont know how often people sell like that, but i see it often enough to know people do try it.

I would back a Trade forum section, with For sale/Trade, Wanted and feedback subforums. Even if it isnt used much, it can like i said get people here, and then stay for our content.

I agree w/ these comments. Also regarding newer members, this would be a perfect place for the SNES gamer to do a bit of his/her buying and selling once they have established a rapport.

A trading sub-forum is something I will implement in the future once a solid user base has been established.

Sellers on Amazon.com dont often ship internationally however, nor do they understand the difference in the controller im looking for. Ive tried several times.

Id appreciate that Mongunzoo.

t3tr1s, the problem is most sellers dont realize the differences and just sell controllers as controllers. Asking them to look usually ends with no response.

That’s one of my pet peeves, I find it downright rude that people who are on a buying/selling site don’t respond. The worst kind is those on eBay that list items with a best offer option then just let an offer expire without responding. I mean why bother even listing if you can’t be bothered as a seller to even acknowledge a potential buyer who could well be amiable enough to agree to a counter-offer? Bad practice.

I hope you find the controller model you are after grimm, specific accessories must be quite hard to track down even for experienced collectors.

Depends on the accessory.. In this case i believe those controllers never hit europe, since the redesigned snes was never released here. What bothers me more is people who wont ship internationally. “Too much hassle” they claim, if they even respond when you politely ask why not. Sure, its up to them, but at least have a valid reason. spending a couple more minutes filling in a customs sticker isnt that big a deal.

Thankfully ive been able to convince a few to re-think that decision, and its gone well for both parties. But yeah, some items are difficult to acquire in europe, that might be more easy to find elsewhere, but then people on ebay, or certain shops wont ship here.. Its stupid. Some even said shipping costs are too high. Isnt that for ME to decide? Im the one paying them.

Anywho. Ill find one eventually.

I have had a look round for you but no dice as of yet. It seems that there are also a lot of fakes of the 102 model you require which doesn’t help the cause I’m sure.

That fake one is easy to stay away from, if you can see the actual controller. The grey part around the action buttons look horrible on it. The box is apparently very close to the authentic 102 controller box though.. I dont require a box though, just the controller in very good to near mint condition.

I can’t even find a Super Nintendo mini anywhere to buy at a local store.. let alone the controllers that come with them lol

I just want the yellow off of the bottom of my system, and I happen to think that the Super Nintendo to looks a lot better than the first 1.
