Yes,  and honestly, the sunrise from Kedarkantha summit is the single most talked about moment of the entire trek. Trekkers who have done it consistently say it is one of the most beautiful things they have ever seen in their lives.

Standing at 12,500 feet with the entire Himalayan range spread out in front of you Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Gangotri and Yamunotri all visible on a clear morning as the sky slowly turns from deep blue to orange and gold is a genuinely life changing experience.

The key is timing. Start your summit climb by 2 to 3 AM from base camp. The climb takes approximately 5 to 7 hours and reaching the top before sunrise is the most important decision of summit day.

December to February gives the clearest skies and the most dramatic sunrise colours. Cloud cover increases from March onwards so earlier in the season always gives better summit views.
