Okay, the rules are pretty simple. Rate the song above you on a scale of 1-10 and say why you like or don’t like it. Then, post your own song for the next user to rate. I’ll start.

And since this is an SNES website, what better way than to start with an SNES song?

Oh! Seems like a thread for me!

I have never played Wario’s Wood… The music is definitely enjoyable but is also not something I would really listen to if I wasn’t playing the game. I’m assuming this is a menu music and if so, well it sounds just like one…! So i guess it’s well done. 8/10

Did you want to stay in the realm of SNES music? Or video game music? Or music in general? Since I’m not quite sure yet, I will go with something a little bit unusual. The following chiptune track uses SNES sounds even though it isn’t a game song.

No, it can be any song. I just used an SNES song since this is an SNES forum.

And that Wario’s Woods song is actually from when you play the 1P Round Game mode. It’s an excellent Puzzle Game, so you should give it a try.

Anyways, I give your song a 10/10. Absolutely awesome song, and I love how it uses 16 Bit music. I love 8 Bit Chiptune, but I’d love to see some more 16-Bit in the genre.

I’ll give that one a 8/10. It’s good, but not an addictive piece in my opinion. I reserve the highest ratings only to songs I feel I need to listen to over and over again.

I’ll do a SNES game:

10/10. Really catchy, and hits that SNES song sweet spot.

Again, this isn’t something I would listen to I believe.. but it is also not bad! It sounds a bit dated to me but I like the progression in the song. It begins very calm and then progresses into something more ”noisy” (but that’s a good thing). Excuse my english :D. I’d give it a 8/10.

(Masa, that song you posted is insane! 12/10! I hope the game is as good as its soundtrack! I’m actually going to share that track on my blog right away!)

My turn:

PS: Sorry my review for this game hasn’t really progressed yet.. Atleast you get to hear its (in my opinion) very good music!

10/10 Power Rangers music is awesome, and it translates perfectly to SNES.

I wasn’t going to use another SNES song until a few more posts, but what the hell, here’s another SNES song.

Pretty good song, not the best one in the game, mind you, but pretty good. 8/10 for me. How about this one:

As climactic music, it’s not too original but it’s efficient. The guitars sound like forced bits of variety, though. A 7 out of 10.

Here’s one of my favorite songs.

10/10 Great song. You know, as an Alternative Rock fan, I really should listen to more of The Replacements.

9/10. Love Weezer. That song conjures up so many good memories from the 90s. How about this one.

10/10 A great (though cheesy) song from a great anime. Speaking of anime songs…

A good song. 7/10. I was always partial to the North American songs though for DBZ.

9/10. I like the song’s mysterious and deep atmosphere.

@The Sane Psycho: That Wario’s Wood music grew on me and got me interested in the game. I actually ordered it online for a few bucks! :D

10/10. I believe this is from Naruto, right? I like the song very much but I don’t think I’d listen to it unless I was watching the show.

Nowadays I’m more into synthwave/80’s synth-inspired/italo disco/outrun electro music (call it however you want it..) These are actually 2 tracks: Never Come Back and Futurisma by Flashworx. I actually read all of the Akira manga in the train while listening to similar music because of this video. If you enjoy this kind of music I’ve been holding a blog for over 2 years where I post new synthy music like this.

8/10. Not the genre of music I’m into right now, but I was enthralled by her vocal range.

Here’s a track my brother and I listened to to get pumped up for our recent Samurai Shodown 3 tournament:

8 out of 10. It’s a neat “Link to the Past”/John Williams mashup.

Whoa, someone had fun on the Casio keyboard with that one! 4/10. Here’s a short and “sweet” one.
