The Floppy Disk Drive was once a revolutionary component in the early days of personal computing. Introduced in the 1970s, it quickly became a standard for data storage and transfer, especially in the 1980s and 1990s. The Floppy Disk Drive allowed users to easily save and transport files using small magnetic disks, typically 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch in size. Despite their limited storage capacity—ranging from 360 KB to 1.44 MB—these drives were critical for software installation, document storage, and system boot-ups.
