Many movie tie-in videos games feel like a rush job, and unfortunately Batman Forever is no different. You can see my thoughts about the game here.

Batman was 2 for 3 on the SNES which isn’t bad for a licensed property.  This game was bad though.  It’s a shame Konami didn’t get the license for this movie; they knew how to do Batman right.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Batman Forever is just horrible to play. Aside from the digitized sprites, if that appeals to you, this game has absolutely no redeeming features at all. I’m tempted to say this is the worst Batman game I’ve ever played. As bad as the decision to cast Chris O’Donnell in the film then not edit out all the terrible acting!

This game hurt me on several levels back in the day. The controls, the graphics (which screenshots made look sorta good), the music, the load times, etc all caused me great pain. I hate this game forever and ever.

Playing with Power, Super Power!

I still don’t get the load times. What were they thinking?

It’s a close call between this and Dark Tomorrow (GC, Xbox) for me. DT had a good story though and the appeal of being an original Batman title at the time. At least now you can watch the cutscenes on Youtube and spare yourself the trouble.
