Among the solid launch title releases for the Super Nintendo in 1991 was Final Fight. When I saw this game in magazines way back when I thought what a huge leap in graphical capability from my Nintendo. This was one of the games that spurred my desire to get a Super NES.

I never got to play it until 2014, so let’s see how I feel about it here.

Capcom sure did make a good amount of games in 1991, and as this one proves not all of them stick.

But I must ask something: is that Capcom logo odd or what? It looks unnatural. It looks like the stylized “W” that Warner Bros. used in the 1970s.

I’ve never played Final Fight even though it seems to be a pretty common game in stores. Great review! After reading it, it doesn’t seem to me like I’m missing much without it in my library. Right?

Too bad this game series didn’t seem to get better with its sequels seeing that marktheshark gave Final Fight 2 a 2/5 stars.

Maybe some of the developers that grew up in the 70s were inspired by the Warner Bros. logo.

It’s a decent game Antarch, but there’s better beat em ups. Even Final Fight from the Capcom Classics Collection would be a better buy because it’s the arcade version and you get a lot of other games with it.

I’m actually going to do a comparison piece between the SNES version and Arcade version (Capcom Classics Collection) to see if I feel any different about the game.
