I don’t know a lot of games that take the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” concept and transform it into video game form, but Harley’s Humongous Adventure certainly fits the bill.

I first heard about this game in Nintendo Power magazine, but don’t know much else about it. Mr. Saturn presents a review for our reading pleasure.

I should state that a lot of the first paragraph is based on me buying ($2.68 on Amazon) the game in January and there wasn’t a Gamefaqs faq up at that time. Still isn’t.

Great review, Saturn. Snagging games for cheaps and playing them through can be a thrilling experience, even if the game rates out as average. I got NCAA Basketball for only a couple bucks at the local used media store, but it was fun enough to make me want to begin writing reviews for this site.

Just a week ago I snagged 8 SNES games from the same place for under $9 total. How inspiring!

I’ve found FAQs to be helpful in writing reviews. Has anyone ever written a FAQ themselves?

Perhaps down the line (way into the future?) when many games have been reviewed twice for this site, there can be a FAQ section where people can write FAQs.

As to Masa’s reference to “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”-like games, how may can we name?

I can think of:

*Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes (for N64 and later)

*Micro Machines (SNES)

*A Bug’s Life (N64)

*Toy Story (SNES & N64)

And let’s not forget…

*Mario 64

What can y’all think of?

@jrsupermoore

Yeah it is an interesting game in that it falls into that area of being quite solid but not really doing anything spectacular. So while it isn’t a bad game that would be fun to totally rip on, it isn’t a good enough a game to be considered a hidden gem or get a glowing review. It isn’t like say, Bubsy, which is a far more memorable game but a lot worse as well. Bubsy just had more overall personality even if the game is not particularly good.

I’ve thought about writing a FAQ but man the effort it takes to write even a small one is fairly time consuming. And then I’m not even sure I’d be verbose enough to write one.

Finally I got some good small character, big world games for you:

Chibi Robo, Katamari Damacy and Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

Another great, small character, big world game is Toy Commander on the Dreamcast.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

I haven’t written a FAQ before, although I did do a complete walkthrough of Adventures of Dr. Franken since there wasn’t any complete guides on the game on Youtube or GameFaqs.

A FAQ section could be a good idea if we can offer something different from what GameFaqs already has.
