After a successful first romp on the Super Nintendo, Capcom released an second adventure for the Mega Man X series. Can this game sit at the same table with the first one? Read this review to find out.

Brilliant review Masamune!

I don’t have X or X2, just RockMan 7 and RockMan X3 so your comments are highly valued. By the way, in the stage select screen is that a reindeer robot boss on the top row 2nd from right? Now that would be awesome.

Kinda. That’s Flame Stag. I added a few pictures of him in the review. Thank SuperPhilip for donating a review for the site. It is a great review, I agree.

I appreciated this review as well. My mind was blown in learning how expansive the Mega Man universe has become. Seven series in the franchise?! surprised I’m familiar with a few of the classics (2 and 3), and X from Super NES. It’s funny how we add significance to our own experiences; I assumed the legendary status of the Mega Man franchise rested on these three games alone. Although they may have laid the foundation, I’m glad to learn from this review how ignorant I was! Thanks again.

I wish that these games worth at expensive, I would love to own all 3 of them on cartridge. that being said the emulator on my phone is not precise it all in for a game like this you have to have some precision at least.
this was a great review and it was well written, I think that it can lure people and playing this game who have never even given this game a shot before.

Good review.

Mega Man X2 was a fine game, but Capcom played it a bit too safe for my tastes.

Unlike in the original series, where Mega Man 2 far surprassed Mega Man 1, X2 felt like more of the same.  That’s not a bad thing, but it’s also why we don’t look back on X2 as classic the way we do with X1.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown
