Super Castlevania IV was one of the killer app titles that helped the Super Nintendo propel itself in popularity. Here is the review for this game. Do you agree with it? Let us know below.

One of the first SNES games and still one of the best. It has some of the best music in the series (and that’s saying something).
It’s somewhat frustrating that Konami never made another game in this style. I wonder if that has to do with so many of their staff leaving to form Treasure.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

I like this review, it’s a shame I passed on so many an occasion to buy this great game. It looks quality and if the music is up to score I’ll have to make this a priority purchase.
I do own the other SNES one available – Vampire’s Kiss it’s called in US/EU but I have the SFC version entitled Dracula XX. That goes for a lot of dosh so it was one of my best ever buys. I think I got it about a year or so ago for $30 inc post. Even back then it was going for around $60 so God only knows what it fetches now.

This game has arguably the best soundtrack on the SNES. You won’t be disappointed. It’s also one of the best playing games n the series, due to the eight-way whip (something Konami never went back to).

I like the 8-way whip implementation, wonder why they dropped it from every other game. Dracula XX is rock hard so this might make things a little easier with more scope to attack.
