It’s chill, it’s fresh, it’s Noah’s Arcade.”

OfflineThere’s a lot. To be brief, here are the exceptions I can think of to this supposed rule that were released for the SNES:
Addams Family Values, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Cutthroat Island, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, T2: The Arcade Game, Bebe’s Kids, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Casper, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: The Movie, Last Action Hero, RoboCop 3, and True Lies.

OfflineHi Everyone,
It’s funny how often film-based games get boxed into the “just another platformer” stereotype, but titles like Jurassic Park really break that mold, blending exploration and tension in ways games like Blues Brothers never tried; if you’re digging into this trend, the discussions over at vedu highlight how some adaptations challenge convention while others lean into it, making it clear the genre is broader—and more interesting—than the old trope suggests.
Bundle Of Thanks!

OfflineHello all,
It’s amusing how frequently film-based games are categorized as “just another platformer,” yet titles like Jurassic Park truly defy that stereotype by merging exploration and tension in ways that games like Blues Brothers never attempted; if you’re exploring this trend, the conversations at vedu emphasize how some adaptations challenge convention while others embrace it, demonstrating that the genre is wider—and more intriguing—than the old trope implies.
Many Thanks!
