OfflineAlways a good test of one’s mastery of the game but this is fairer than most and gives you a realistic target to aim for. You don’t need to visit any bonus rooms (unless you want to) nor do you have to get the full 101% completion. One more thing, no saving at Candy’s to go back to later on as this defeats the purpose of the whole challenge.
The challenge is simple – complete every game level from Jungle Hijinx to the Gang Plank Galleon in under 1Hr 30Mins, you can use as many lives as you want but remember the more you die the more the clock ticks. It’s tough but fair, think you can do it?
And now time turns, the fire burns, time out is gone, the quest is on! ![]()

OfflineYes like I say it’s a challenge that’s do-able. But if it’s been some time since your last go on DKC I’d advise you to just play the game and enjoy going through it at your own pace before you attempt the challenge Masamune. Then you’ve experienced a great game & your well aware of exactly what your up against.

OfflineWell, I tried the challenge today, but I was interrupted by my goat getting out and having to get it back in the pasture. I kid you not. I will attempt another day.

OfflineYeah. I only have one now.. I used to have nearly a dozen, but I sold them or coyotes, bobcats, and owls ate them. I live on a family farm, so we don’t usually sell animals, but show them in the local fair. I also own a cow, a calf, a dog, some rabbits, some chickens, and a donkey. I love living in a rural area.

OfflineOwls? Are you kidding me?
I love rural areas as well! Sometimes i go south of where I live to an area known as garden of the Gods in Shawnee National forest just to reflect.

That sounds like a pleasant life. I love living just yards from Sherwood Forest myself, you get some wonderful wildlife including Owls! No Bubsy Bobcats though.

OfflineYes, owls will eat baby goats. They’re pretty small and some owls can get big.

OfflinePlayed this again the other day, approaching 1hr 40mins and only at Kremcroc Industries Inc.
I know I don’t have to but I feel like I should do all the bonus stages you can find. Once I complete it I’ll attempt an actual pseudo-speed-run but I will have to not get the urge to find everything. Also remember not to pick up any of those golden animal coins, they waste time doing the bonus when you acquire 3 of any animal and to be honest there are so many lives available throughout the game they aren’t necessary.
*Tip: If you go back through the mine entrance at the start of “Stop N’ Go Station” it takes you to near the end of the level. Good for time, not for completists!
