This thread has been silent for quite some time, but having recently joined Pinterest, I was wondering how that extremely popular site could be used to create some more clicks toward the Hub.
I’ve begun by creating a board for each of my reviews on my personal profile, then pinning pictures from SNES Hub onto the board, hash-tagging SNESHub and the name of the game. All told, I’ve just begun using the site, so there may be a more effective way to use Pinterest.
So, should we get a SNES Hub Pinterest going? The tagline could be, “uniting SNES lovers since 2012” or something.

How’s the tumblr thing going jr? I can’t find any tags linked to ”snes hub” yet. :s
Also, what would you guys think of putting a copy of an entire review/article or a sample/sneak peak of it (couple paragraphs + a link to the full review on the website or something) on tumblr too? Some people post entire articles on tumblr and, heck, they get more likes/share than we have members registered on the forums!
We could do something similar to this :
This, along with sharing/blogging the snes hub review videos found on youtube could probably benefit this community.

I think jr might have started this site: http://16bitworld.com/
The last two reviews have been somehow automatically been posted there shortly after I release them.
Is 16 bit world yours, jr?

Wtf? All the SNES reviews have been taken from this site.
… But as Antarch states, it takes you to this site if you want to read the whole review.

Apologies for keeping people in suspense; I haven’t been frequenting the forums section as often as I’ve wanted to recently.
That 16 Bit World site definitely isn’t mine, though it does seem like a nice piece of work. The twitter widget links to a Jason Bobich, someone who apparently works for Wordpress. I don’t see the SNES Hub reviews linked there anymore. Masa, did you ask him to take them down perhaps?
Thank you for the callout, Antarch. I will get working on the Tumblr straight away, and I’ll begin by checking out, ChallengerApproaching!

I disagree, a tumblr page might still be needed. I’m pretty sure that more users would come upon references to the hub on tumblr than on some guy’s personal website. Also, the hashtag system kind of works like an additional word-index integrated into this site, which is in my opinion an advantage a normal website does not have.

Antarch, I took a good look at “challenger approaching,” and soon I will be seeing what I can put together. Feel free to add more thoughts on what to include in a SNES Hub Tumblr, either in this forum or by PM. I’m looking forward to the learning experience.
For instance, what to call it? Is “SNES Hub” attention grabbing enough?
Or how about a play on the Nintendo tagline, “Playing with Super Power,” or “Play it Loud”?
I thought about referencing the SNES’ 32,768 colors, but I bet I’d lose people with that one. As you can see, I’m not the ‘creative director’ type.

Either SNES Hub or Playing with Super Power would be fine I guess. As long as you tag SNES, Super Nintendo, Super NES, Nintendo, 16-bit, etc. when you post something, people will see it if they follow one of these terms. You will also eventually get followers who will see everything you post.
Putting a link directing to this website when you post something would be a good idea too.

For those of you who might be interested in seeing the tumblr page:
http://playingwithsuperpower.tumblr.com/
I will post the new reviews/articles when they get published on the site. I’m unsure if I should make posts directing to older articles or reviews we’ve already released since 2012 in order to keep the tumblr page active or simply wait for new publications every other week.
What do you guys think? Would you like some of your older texts to appear on the tumblr page? (As a direct link to your text on this site, see the tumblr page for an example)
