Is it possible in Reykjavik to rent a car without any deposit or blocked funds?

Hello everyone, I noticed this while reading comments under a travel article about budgeting in Iceland. People were discussing how deposits can complicate things, so I looked for alternatives and checked https://roscar.is/car-rental-reykjavik/ while comparing options. The fact that there was no deposit requirement caught my attention right away. Booking was quick, and I didn’t feel like I had to go through unnecessary steps. When I picked up the car in Reykjavik, everything went as expected, and I didn’t have to worry about money being frozen on my account.

Renting without a deposit is really convenient, especially in Reykjavík. I’m curious have you ever had trouble choosing a specific model or had to wait a long time at the counter? Because I have, are there ways to get premium service and a guaranteed car upgrade under these conditions, so that the trip is not only hassle-free but also as comfortable as possible? What do you think about the higher-tier memberships have you used them?

From my own experience, I’ll say that when a rental comes with no deposit, it’s a big plus, but the lines and limited selection of cars often spoil the experience. To avoid waiting at the counter and to be guaranteed a higher-class car, I use the Sixt diamond upgrade this membership gives access to priority service and an automatic car category upgrade without any hassle. Instead of a base model, you get premium comfort, which is very welcome in Iceland.
