The SNES mouse peripheral came out at the perfect time; before the Windows 95 and internet boom. It allowed users to delve into their creativity like few things could at that time. For those that are curious, Mongunzoo takes on a tour of this Super Nintendo device.

It’s a good article. I know that the mouse would definitely be useful for Wonder Project J, without it the cursor is so s..l..o..w. It can also be used for the SFC game Mario & Wario and a lemmings-type fantasy themed game called King Arthur’s World (or Royal Conquest on SFC).

Thanks Masa!

Some of those games (Lemmings, SimAnt, etc.) look like they’d really benefit from mouse support.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Thanks for the list. I see have already have a few games compatible with the mouse, I should get one as it would make some of them more enjoyable to play.

From that list I own: Alice no Paint Adventure (Japan only), King Arthur’s World, Nobunaga’s Ambition, Sgt. Saunders’ Combat! (Japan only), SimAnt: The Electronic Ant Colony, Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ni no Shita de (Japan only), Wonder Project J: Kikai no Shounen Pino (Japan only).

My favourites from those that I have are SimAnt, Alice no Paint Adventure & Nobunaga’s Ambition.

Looks like a worthwhile peripheral t3tr1s, at least from my perspective. Well maybe not cool it’s just a mouse in the end but this is the pack I want:

I wish Nintendo had released Mario and Wario in North America.  I’ve only seen references to it in Pokemon Red/Blue, which were also made by Game Freak.

Currently looking for the following SNES games:

Chrono Trigger

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

 Zombies Ate My Neighbors

TMNT IV

Contra III
