Two things that I found interesting if true:
- When this developer needed more documentation from Nintendo on the Gamepad, the local support team had to check with developers from Japan and it would take days to hear a reply. Then when they did get an answer, it was in broken English.
- The online plan for the system came very late
There’s other things too, but as a developer if you can’t get your questions answered in a timely manner and when you do get an answer, and it isn’t adequate, that’s a major problem, especially heading into launch.
Secondly, if Nintendo was serious about the online component, they would have planned it out waaaay ahead of time so 3rd parties releasing launch titles could take full advantage.
If these things are true, no wonder 3rd party support sucks.
