Dubbed as an entry level RPG, Mystic Quest sought to bring new fans into the genre by holding them by the hand. marktheshark reviews SquareSoft’s efforts here.

Well written review, but I disagree with you on your overall score. I’m in the minority here, but I really think FF:MQ is great for what it is. It’s a fun little playthrough that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s also worth noting that it’s the most affordable Squaresoft game and one of the cheapest RPGs on the system. I’d recommend most folks at least try it out.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown
