It’s 2012. In the age of the Xbox 360 and PS3, is there still any room in the video game picture for the Super Nintendo? This article makes a good case for the SNES. Discuss your thoughts on this subject.

I think the SNES’s library is it’s biggest strength.

Currently looking for the following SNES games:

Chrono Trigger

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

 Zombies Ate My Neighbors

TMNT IV

Contra III

it definitely has a very diverse library that spans a lot of different types of games for every single type of person. It truly is a very special system.

I think it’s the quality of games that makes the system strong. Then you have the possibility of playing the Japanese games either translated or not and you even have a bigger selection of quality games to choose from.

Definitely still relevant today even among the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The retro gaming scene in general won’t die. The quality of 2d games make them simple and timeless. Handheld systems have a market, and the game boy never pushed the envelope graphically.
