OfflineThat’s a tough choice, but it really depends on what you value more! Morning trips are great for seeing the details of the architecture and the white stone of the monuments in crisp, bright light. However, for the best “vibes” and value, I always recommend the late afternoon/sunset slots.
The way the sun sets over the ocean and lights up the Tagus is just breathtaking. You get to see the city during the “Golden Hour” when everything looks warm and glowing, and then as you head back, the city lights start coming on, so you get the night view as a bonus! Check out the different schedules for Lisbon River Cruises https://alle.travel/en/lisbon/…..boat-tours and try to time it for about 90 minutes before sunset. It’s like getting two tours for the price of one. The afternoon cruises also tend to be a bit more lively with music and drinks.
Night cruises are very romantic, but you do lose some of the detail of the buildings. For a first-timer, that transition from day to night is definitely the way to go. You’ll get the best of both worlds – clear sights and a magical atmosphere!
