Growing up, I never thought much of the Super Game Boy. But this article makes me want to re-assess my opinion. What are your thoughts and opinions about the Super Game Boy?

When I went to get my battery replaced for Pokemon Red, I saw my favorite game store had a boxed Super Gameboy for sale. I just might have to get it.

Currently looking for the following SNES games:

Chrono Trigger

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

 Zombies Ate My Neighbors

TMNT IV

Contra III

I wouldn’t pay more than $15, with complete box and all.  The only games that would be compatible are Pokemon Red and Oracle of Ages.  It’s still neat.

Currently looking for the following SNES games:

Chrono Trigger

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

 Zombies Ate My Neighbors

TMNT IV

Contra III

I don’t really care much about boxes, I only have twerp super nintendo console boxes and that’s it. I use a shoe box for storing my cartridges at the moment.

I usually don’t mind either way, but it’s neat getting to see what it looked like when it was originally sold.

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Actually because of this article, I’m interested in purchasing a Super Gameboy. The first two games I’ll get are Donkey Kong ’94 and Link’s Awakening. It’d be nice to have the box and stuff, but I won’t pay a premium for it.

I can’t think ofany great game boy games outside of Pokemon that I would play, but honestly.. Playing Pokemon Red on my snes would be awesome in itself. I remember playing Warios Woods back in the day though.

If you;ve got a Gamecube, a Gameboy Player might be a better purchase, as it also plays GBC and GBA games.

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Yes if you do have a GC the logical choice would be to get the BB player exclusive to that console. However if you don’t the nthe Super GB is a perfectly acceptable and worthwhile accessory. Playing classic GB games on a big screen with added color is quite an experience in itself and there are some great original GB games to be got for a fraction of the price that some SNES games go for.

So, I’ve had my Super Gameboy for a week.  I can play Pokemon Red, but it won’t let me play Oracle of Ages.  I love the border  with Pokemon cards.   I also have Pokemon Stadium and a Transfer Pack for my N64.  Stadium has a function that allows you to play games like the Super Gameboy.  It ends up, it has the exact same border as the SNES.  The good thing about Stadium is when I get through the Gym Leader Tower, I will get my selection of any starter, Eevee, Hitmonchan, or Hitmonlee.

Currently looking for the following SNES games:

Chrono Trigger

EarthBound

Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)

Secret of Mana

Illusion of Gaia

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

TMNT IV

The Super GB plays Original GB games via the SNES it won’t play GB Color games except certain early releases. A list would be good. If I find one I’ll post it. I believe that the clear GBC ones won’t play but the black casing ones will.
