I just purchased ActRaiser and I’m loving it!
There is only one problem though… I might have missed something but I can’t use magic spells during the platforming acts. I’ve found the fire spell in the first town, received the offering and tried using it. The thing is, I’m at the third boss and I would love to use some magic on it but both the A and X buttons won’t do anything even if they are supposed to cast a magic spell. Has this happened to anyone else or did I forget to do something in order enable my magic attack?

Well it seems I have found my answer. I simply had to select a spell from the Sky Palace’s menu in order to enable magic.

Thanks! I won’t hesitate to post again if I need help. This makes me think.. Do we have a section where we can ask for tips/help regarding snes games? I made a topic here but I was not sure where to post it.
It may seem weird but often people find websites by googling because they need help with something in a game, I know I do. If we had a section where people could ask questions about their games, surely some of the the text (which would then be indexed in google’s database) from the questions or the answers given would pop in the results of a google search. In order for this to be an effective way to get more people here, this section would need to be as active as possible. Does my explaination make any sense?

Top suggestion, Antarch. And your entirely right. People do often “stumble” upon sites purely because they are looking for a review, guide or help. This section will prove valuable to forum members also.
