For a while now I’ve been thinking of some kind of challenge. The idea would be to only allow myself to play Super Nintendo/SFC games for a set period of time (no PS4 games, no Wii U games, etc.). I was thinking about trying it out for a month.. and if everything goes well and I enjoy it, try to do it for a whole year. I might try to do it this September.
Do you guys have any thoughts on this idea? Do you think this is something that you might enjoy?

Yes, that sounds like a good challenge. It’d be cool if you could document it somehow like writing journals or something.

Sounds like my life, with few exceptions.

I tend to stick to one (usually retro) system at a time yeah, and it usually works well for a few weeks at a time. I’d say go for it.
Only time it didn’t work as well for me was when trying to play PS1 games chronologically starting with the launch games, I kinda burned out on it pretty quickly.

Did you attempt to play all the PS1 games chronologically? That would be a huge undertaking and yeah, I see how you could be burned out on it rather quickly.

Pretty much! Well, except for the real stinkers and stuff like golf and board games.

The entire PS1 library? Now that shows true commitment.
I tend to also go through phases of playing on a certain console for a month or so and then changing to something else.
That being said, I seem to of been playing SFII Turbo and Super Mario Kart for about a year now, without burnout.
