In reading up on Clayfighters for an upcoming review, I came across an interesting tid-bit about another clay-animated game by Interplay, Claymates.
The cover advertises something called BLAZE Processing, an obvious homage to Sega’s fabled Blast Processing. The sub-heading reads: “accelerates characters to incredible speeds.” I thought it was interesting because it’s on the side-bar, which is supposed to be factual, versus the featured picture where creative license is expected.
Has anyone else heard about this? As far as I can tell, this boast isn’t made for any other SNES game.

It is a very fast game but simpler in terms of physics and level architecture than Sonic. Would still be interesting to read how they, and the Sparkster devs as well, got such fast gameplay out of the SNES.
Blast Processing was made up and the commercial comparisons were kinda bs, but it was still based on an actual difference in CPU speed between the two consoles.
