What are the best games for the SNES?
What are the Worst?
What makes these your favorite and most hated?
Who knows…Maybe we’ll give each other a treasure map to a great new game…..Or lead each other into the abyss of unintentional laughter!

The best for me are the Mario series, the Parodius series, the Bomberman series, the DKC series, the MegaMan series and countless others like Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, Zelda Link to the Past, Nobunagas Ambition, Taekwondo, Tiny Toons, Sparkster .. too many! Theres just so much quality but those are a good guide to anyone starting a collection from scratch.
The best in my opinion was Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Mega Man X, Super Punch Out, Chrono Trigger, Star Fox. I didn’t delve in the obscure games back in the day, but I will do that this time around.
As for my worst, I dunno. I was lucky never to run into any bad games thanks to video game magazines and word of mouth.

[BEWARE THE WHEELERS] Anyone whose seen Return To Oz will remember that warning sign as Dorothy gets chased by the creepy underlings of the evil Princess Mombi. Cult children’s film in my view. Almost like a rite of passage, I recall it creeping me out loads as a youngster with it’s distinct atmosphere and refreshingly dark tone. Sadly the SNES has no game based on the excellent 1985 movie but does have a Wizard Of Oz game based very loosely upon the original.
Now all I know is it was a US exclusive and it seems to me to be a fairly rare game to find complete, well scarce is probably more accurate. The artwork on the box is actually very good considering its on a US box but it would appear to anyone who has played the game that this is where the positives end. I suppose I just wanted to see for myself if it was as bad as some people would say it is. Nintendo Power originally gave it 2.95 out of 5 so there must be something in it.
I happened to stumble upon one online, an excellent condition fully complete Wizard Of Oz and snapped it up for a reasonable and fair price in my view. I’ll reveal more in the “Snes Finds” thread later. As I know very little about the game it’s quite possible this may be one of the worst games for the system but I’m prepared to give it a fair try.
Has anyone here bought the game or perhaps you were given the game as a gift or some other reason? Is it quite common or is it slightly rare in your honest opinion? If anyone’s played a bit of WoOz it would be interesting to read your views on the game in general. Be as honest as you want, surely nothing can top Water World in crapness, though I am prepared.

Wizard of Oz isn’t as bad as the bottom of the shitheap, but it comes close. Hit detection is bad and often you’ll fall right through the floors you try to jump on. That said, level design is pretty fly. It could have been good.
As for worse than waterworld hmmmm……….
Bebe’s Kids
Pit Fighter
Race Drivin
Obitus
These four are the epitomy of DOGSHIT! Give em a try, I promise that they will give Water World a run for it’s money

Yeah I suppose I’m being harsh on Water World, its perfectly playable (although certain sections of the game are shocking) but not much fun in the slightest. I do hear Beethoven is pretty goddamn awful. Is Obitus an American RPG where you go around in a pseudo 3d dungeon type environment trying to keep a candle alight, Or am i thinking something different?
