Show me a game YOU think is great but isn’t one I would think at first!

It would be nice to see a list of games worth playing but don’t get the attention (yet) they deserve.

You can name any game of any genre. I’ll start of with a puzzle game, an old favourite of my dad’s:

Push-Over.jpgImage Enlarger

“Push-Over” !

In this game you play a little red army ant who need to move blocks in order to form the right combination so you can “push them over” ,like in a game of “Dominos”. If you do that right, a door opens to the next level. Pretty simple huh? Not! It get’s harder and harder each level and each of the blocks have their own characteristics: One is a tumbler that keeps on tumbling. The other is a block that when it get’s pushed it elevates. Another one explodes or vanishes or splits in two…you get the idea. You have to place them in the right order before you push and the last block that needs to fall is the red one. You think you’re “ant” enough to handle all that??? Go check it out! 🙂

now, what is your little gem?

Tactics Ogre. A great tactical battle game which is unfortunatly very expensive.. I bought it brand new at release, i sold it, i regret it bitterly..

Wild Guns by Natsume…..Cabal clone that is one of the most amazing action games you will ever play.

The downside…Cart-only will cost you over 100 dollars!!!

Never heard of Tactics Ogre, you surprised me! 🙂 Why did you sell it? Difficult to find indeed. Especially since I have difficulty to find Earthbound, let alone that game.
Wild Guns rings a bell! Do you have a copy? Maybe a review of that game in the near future… 🙂 It looks like a fun arcade shooter. Now I want to add these games to my list! It’s getting more expensive 😉

No idea. i sold it probably 15 years ago along with other high price (even then) rpg style games for the Snes. Earthbound isnt difficult to find, there’s pretty much always numerous ones on ebay.com. It is always expensive though.

Tactics Ogre is a different story.

Indeed I checked ebay.com and there they are! :) But if possible I’d like to get the PAL version. Earthbound has to wait for a while. This month has been expensive enough and I have to stop buying for a few weeks. If I don’t I buy everything I like and that’s a lot ;)

Good call on Wild Guns, only downside is the price as you say.

I’ll say Taekwon-do by Human….. Sweet 1-on-1 fighter that uses no ‘special moves’ per se. You use all 6 buttons, each doing a different style of kick. A great take on the Korean martial art that faithfully recreates the speed of the sport at almost Olympic level velocity and as many axe kicks as the hamstrings would permit. The quick thinking makes for a real feel of getting a grip on the sport as does the ability to be able to move around the ring. It feels polished, looks amazing and plays like a dream. It’s very good, better then most fighters available to the system and i think it slips under the radar of most people.

No such thing as a Pal Earthbound.

Ow man I didn’t know that! :) thanks! You see, I have a lot to learn. Playing it with a converter seems the only option for me.
