If i recall, it was a Snes bundle box with SF2, bought in germany during vacation there. I saved a while for that. i believe i was 14 or so. I never had many snes games back in the day, my parents werent rich and i couldnt afford them either. I gradually had a handful of titles, mostly J-RPG’s which i STUPIDLY sold when i was 19 or 20 (they paid fairly well in sweden though)… Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire 1 + 2 etc.. Ive re-aquired Chrono Trigger and Secret of mana in near mint condition since, but it has been costly. Luckily i kept at least FF2 and 3.
Snes has never been my most prioritized system, but im getting back into j-rpg’s, and snes is the system to get for those. I hate the fact that nintendo used cardboard boxes.. This makes the j-rpg titles ridiculously expensive. For some reason, people mishandle game boxes, thus these do not stand a chance. Personally ive always treated them well, and i always put a game back into its box after i was done playing. Those boxes are still fresh to this day. Hell, for the new shrinkwrapped Jaguar titles ive gotten in later years (or any cardboard box game really) i even carefully cut the wrap to keep it intact around the box, just freeing the flap.
As for my favourite type of box, nothing beats Neo Geo AES (not the old style) or Pocket Clamshell boxes. Secure and stylish.
I have Asperger's Syndrome, which means i can come across as rigid and overly argumentative. Please try and look past this and contact me if you have a problem with what/how i type. I type and read very literally and use no undertones. Thank you for trying to understand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.....r_syndrome

Aaaahhh SF2….another title I play on a somewhat regular basis. Yeah, SNES has so many JRPG titles. They definitely dominated in that category!!!

My favorite type of box I think is the Genesis one. The plastic ones, not those awful cardboard ones used later…
Agreed, they’re durable and and simple. I’m always surprised to see how many Genesis cartridges exist without their respective cases….it’s just blasphemous!!!

True its not hard to look after a thick durable plastic case. Some of the ones ive seen look as though they’ve been used as door wedges or as a cats scratching post.
Before i post are we talking about purchases made by ourselves or do we count the ones mom n dad might of boughht as gifts on our expressed recommendation, remember when it would be coming up to Xmas and you’d get scribbling those game titles down along with the console name just to make sure mom didn’t mess it up.

The Snes was originally owned by my bro until he relinquished it solely to me sometime… around 2000 i think. Therefore the first games bought for the Snes will be from a much more recent time then the others as i didn’t really use it as my main console until after the Gamecube phase. The Wii i hated so i was reluctent to put the only game i bought other then the sports title you get with it but did so anyway. Enjoy.
NES – Donkey Kong Classics
Master System – Wonderboy in Monster World
Megadrive – Shining Force
N64 – Mace: The Dark Age
GameCube – Soul Calibur II
Wii – Zelda: Twilight Princess
GameBoy – Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
GameBoy Advance – Sword of Mana
NeoGeo Pocket Color – Neo Turf Masters
SNES ;
- PAL – Donkey Kong Country trilogy bought at same time
- US – Liberty or Death
- JAP – GS Mikami: Joreishi wa Nice Body

I cant remember my very first for the NES. I do remember playing a lot of Ducktales, Contra, and Mario games, and some Rescue rangers I think.
For the SNES, I got the version that came with Super Mario World included, was prob like 1992, or so, maybe 93′. I think I mightve actually got Sim City haha, not sure why, prob my dads choice. I remember owning Mario, Sim City, Super Metroid, Street Fighter 2 , and 2 turbo. Bugs bunny rampage, Porkys Nightmare (i think this is what it was called), and Tom and Jerry – I was probably 6 around this time, then as I started getting older, I got better games.
