Anyone know where I can rent a motorbike round here? Thinking of doing a road trip through the central states and my old bike’s getting a bit tired. Could do the parts but that’ll cost a packet and drag on, probably blow my whole leave sorting it. Better off hiring something reliable for the trip. Where’s good for bike rentals?

Breaking down on a bike is a right hassle. With a car someone might tow you to a garage, but with a bike that’s awkward. So it’s not worth risking a long trip on an old wreck. Have a look on EagleRiders or BikesBooking for something suitable and head off on your trip.

I wouldn’t bother with those rental outfits. They’ll roll out a list of terms that’ll take you an age to get through just to hire a bike. When you bring it back they’ll pick fault with every scratch and ding, then whack extra charges on your card for repairs. Better off dealing with private owners, they’re easier going and don’t charge as much.
