Is it me only, or is Dianthus the most debased perennial of all?

It seems to me that all people talk about roses, but my Dianthus are the star candidates of the year. I had mine at abodelook, and they have endured three heatwaves and a week of heavy rain and dropped not a single bloom. The mulch is a good contrast to the “pinks” which indeed stand out. The quality of the plants of abodelook impresses me to the point that whatever I have bought based on their recommendations on the forum has been high quality. Would you mind telling me the kind of fertilizers you guys use to make the colors this bright or is it the quality of the plant?
