Landour is a small peaceful town just above Mussoorie in Uttarakhand. People visit Mussoorie but never make it to Landour and that is exactly what keeps it so special because not everyone known about this beautiful place.

The biggest reason people come here is Ruskin Bond, the famous author who has lived in Landour for years. He is often seen at Char Dukan, a charming little spot with four small shops where you can sit with chai and fresh cookies while looking at the mountains.

Landour is also known for its old British era buildings, the Landour Bakehouse which serves amazing freshly baked food, and the Landour Loop a beautiful 5 km forest walk with Himalayan views.

The whole town feels like time has slowed down here. No crowds, no noise, just quiet lanes and mountain air.

Delhi to Landour is around 290 km and takes about 5 to 6 hours by road. If you are travelling in a group, booking tempo traveller on rent in Delhi is the smartest choice. Everyone stays together, stops are flexible, and the mountain drive itself becomes part of the experience.

Landour is one of those places that surprises you. Most people who visit say they wish they had come sooner
