OfflineHi everyone! I’ve been trying to expand my professional circle lately, but I’ll be honest—I find the whole process incredibly draining. It often feels forced, and I struggle to move past the initial small talk. I know how important it is for my career, but I always end up feeling like I’m doing it wrong or just wasting people’s time. Has anyone else dealt with this “networking anxiety”? How did you manage to get over the hurdle and start building genuine connections?

OfflineI used to think I was the only one struggling with this until I came across a very insightful breakdown on the Wedaf blog: https://blog.wedaf.com/blog/wh…..etworking/. From my own experience, I realized that I was overcomplicating the “value exchange” part of it. The article really helped me identify the specific psychological barriers I was hitting and offered a much more natural approach to connecting with people. It shifted my perspective from “selling myself” to just finding common ground. If you’re feeling stuck or frustrated with the networking game, I highly recommend checking out the points raised in this post—it definitely helped me feel more confident in professional settings.
