Tungnath Temple is one of the most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known as the highest Shiva temple in the world. Located in the beautiful Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, the temple stands at an altitude of about 3,680 meters above sea level. Its high elevation and peaceful surroundings make it a special place for both pilgrims and trekking lovers.

The temple is also an important part of the Panch Kedar, a group of five holy temples connected to the legend of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata. According to mythology, Lord Shiva’s arms appeared at Tungnath, which is why this temple holds great religious importance.

To reach the temple, visitors start a scenic trek from Chopta, covering around 3.5 km through beautiful mountains and forests.
