A wildly popular show of the 1990s that enjoyed a re-make a few years ago, the American Gladiators had something very compelling driving its success. It had loads of personality, intensity, and the fascinating concept of regular people going into combat with hugely muscled athletes.
Did the Super Nintendo adaptation bring any of that magic to video game form? Find out here.

This review is right on the money. Â This game is BAD. Â I remember renting it as a kid and having zero fun with it. Â It’s games like this that give licensed games their (largely) deserved reputation of being crap.
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown
