Many readers may remember the classic Bubble Bobble for the NES. The main characters from that game, Bub & Bob, found new life in the Bust-a-Move puzzler series. I for one didn’t know much about Bust-a-Move or was aware it had so many sequels. marktheshark enlightens us on the first entry on home consoles here.

Always enjoyed the Bust-a-Move games. Can’t believe I haven’t bought a version before though.

I never played any in the series. Actually I never played any puzzler before. I believe I have a version of Bust-a-Move on one of my compilation discs, so I’m sure I’ll play it sooner or later.

Really? You’ve never played Tetris, Tetris Attack, Dr. Mario, Picross, Lumines amongst any number of puzzle games? That is kind of surprising. I’d figure everyone has played at least one.

Kirby’s Avalanche is a pretty fun puzzler, though being made in the Puyo Puyo mold it is far from unique.

Bust-a-move unfortunately looks a bit like a free app on your smartphone. :)

The premise never really appealed to me quite honestly. Might try one now since I can pick one of them up really cheap. But like I said I have a Bust-a-Move game on one of my compilation discs, so here’s my chance to finally play a game in the genre.
